Hi Guys,

MY WSUS SP1 server is set to roll out critical and security updates
automatically to all xp workstations. Worked great for years. We know have
a 3rd party software install that requires KB951847 to be installed. No
problem. Since my server doesn't detect service packs and this is a "ONE
OFF" request I'll choose the "IMPORT UPDATES"

I performed this task and choose the family update version of this.
Downloaded and IMPORTED DIRECTLY INTO SERVER.

Made a new group, put two machines in it that don't have .net installed.
Went to the patch and choose "APPROVE" for that group.
Went to each workstation and choose "wuauclt.exe /detectnow"... This should
tell wsus that the client needs this patch that is approved.

I then went to SYNC the server up with MICROSOFT thinking that it will
finally be "DOWNLOADED"... and it's not working!

Doesn't bring it down, I've done this exact same method in the past!
Do I really need to goto products and categories and check mark service
packs so it becomes detectable? I shouldn't have to, I approved the update!

Any ideas?
