At the moment, SUS does not handle Service Packs.

But by the end of this month SUS would be handling service packs. To start
with W2K SP4 will be available through SUS.

thanks,
Jose

No, SP4 will be pushed out as any other normal content. SP4 will do a silent
install.

thanks,
Jose

So is it SP4 for Win2K that's changing or SUS? I'm a bit confused...

Thanks

Tom S

BTW, what's your affiliation with MS? They wouldn't confirm or deny anything
for me...

SP4 also has silent install feature. So SP4 will be delivered as any other
patch content. The clients will download and install SP 4 as anyother patch.

thanks,
Jose

Hi

It is SUS that is changing. It will be released as a completely new version,
called SUS 2.0 I think.

But not by the end of the month I am told. If you know differently, please
elaborate. The new version was scheduled to be released early next year. I
would understand it if MS might want to speed up the release and I'm sure it
would be welcome.
Thanks
