How can I stop the ASCII EOF character from being added to a file
transferred from the AS400 to a PC (EBCDIC to ASCII)? I want to either use
CPYTOPCD or Client Access' transfer utility to copy a file so I can do a
mail merge in Microsoft Word with data from the AS400. Right now, when I
examine the transferred file, I have three records in the file as opposed to
the expected two; the last just being the ASCII EOF character which was
added by the transfer. Any idea how I can get around this quirk? Thanks in
