I have a customer with a small 75 user windows AD. I want to offer remote
assistance and remote control. Is SMS too much? Should I just use remote
assistance. Any recommendations?

thanks

ConfigMgr might be overkill. ConfigMgr does require some investment in both
hardware, software, and knowledge.

For that size, if I were you, I'd likely take a peek at "System Center
Essentials". It doesn't of course have the flexibility of something like
ConfigMgr that can handle a 300,000 computer company, but for the less than
30 Servers, and less than 500 workstations company (and likely won't grow
beyond that limit), it might be the perfect fit.

Or, if you have really, really geeky people working there, you can get away
with almost 100% free things--but they have to be fairly geeky to understand
and manage the manually-scripted things that they might need to do with GPOs,
and WSUS, and computer startup scripts for example. If they need something
that's a little more gui-based, SCE might be a better fit.
