For Hardware or Software Raid?

For Hardware RAID this information is not available.

For Software RAID this information is not available by default, it might
be obtained but doing a sms_def.mfo edit.

As Garth mentioned, a Hardware RAID will likely not be available to be
reported on via the OS installed on top of those drives. that's because the
RAID is defined within the Controllers, not by the OS.

It *may* be possible, but only if the vendor of those RAID controllers
offers some kind of utility which stores that information locally, i.e., a
custom WMI location. And, you've installed that utility on your Windows OS
servers. That may not always be the case--often Servers OS' are lean, so
utilities such as I mention are only installed when troubleshooting something.

However, it is worth asking. Check with the vendor of those controllers,
and see if they have a utility which stores the hardware RAID information in
WMI. If they give you blank looks, you'll know they don't have something
like that. If they do have something like that, and you've installed it, we
might be able to create a custom mof edit to extract that information during
hardware inventory.
