Agents are installed but no client in console?

Using Config Manager 2007 with sp1

Domain prep was done and server installed, agents installed where identified
but in the agent - control panel it says that 'configMgr connection type' -
unknown and Site Mode - unknown - hence no agents are reporting to the
console - they are listed but not as clients!!!!!

What are we missing - please point me in a direction!?

Hello Gavin,

It seems like you have a problem with site assignment have you extended your
AD Schema , if not do you have a SLp defined ? Have you conofigured your
boundaries ?

That would be a good start to look.

You can look at the client log files found \%windir%\system32\ccm\logs and
see what you get in there.
- Clientlocation.log
- LocationServices.log
