I've added a windows 95 workstation to my sms test lab and I had a few
surprises. First, I can't access the win95 computer through the
Help Desk or Diagnostics without first starting the Remote Control Agent
on that computer fist. Is there a way of automatically starting the agent
when I want to access the client or to start it when W95 starts?

Also, the network type for that computer in Computer Properties > Network,
is identified as LANMAN instead of Microsoft Windows Network. I've checked
in Network > properties on the client machine, and there the net is marked
as microsoft network...

And is there a way of forcing the client software to be installed on a
given drive instead of the drive with the most free space ?

I'm currently using SMS 1.2 sp2 on a NT4sp3 server.

By design. MS provides no means to do this via SMS citing "Privacy"
issues. There are a zillion work arounds that people have tried.

Try the run key in the registry.

Really the only way to accomplish this is to put the Remote Control Agent
in the Startup group. Of course, it will only start when someone logs on.
