Is it safe to change some registry to turn on wi-fi

Hi!

I really want to know about it. T.T
When I was looking for the way to turn on wi-fi, I found some code for that.
But, for that, I need include some library.
However, I also found that I can turn on wi-fi using registry.
I thought it is not safe because additional operation is needed for turning
on wi-fi.
Moreover, I can change cpu-operating-mode.
Is it safe?!
