Hi,

Can anybody help me with the following question:

I have setup a SBS2003 standard server and most things seems to work. My
workstations can do Internet through it. I can make a connection with remote
desktop to my server, but I cannot have real remote access with Outlook Web
Access and RWW.

Problem: When I run the Remote Access wizard it fails to complete. When I
check teh log than in the last three lines I found this:

Updating CMS template returned OK
Updating SED template returned OK
Creating proxy configuration file returned OK
*** Running IExpress to build the package returned ERROR 80004005
*** ERROR: Cannot delete temp directory CMP33.tmp
Specifying error location (in CMAK) returned OK
*** CRRASCommit::CommitCMAK returned ERROR 80004005
*** CRRASCommit::CommitEx returned ERROR 80004005

With earlier experiments I got the following error, also in the last three
lines:
Disabling NETBIOS for RAS returned OK
Changing RRAS startup type to automatic returned OK
Configuring Remote Access Policy returned OK
*** Starting RRAS service returned ERROR 80070420
Specifying error location returned OK
*** CRRASCommit::CommitRRAS returned ERROR 80070420
*** CRRASCommit::CommitEx returned ERROR 80070420

The server is fitted with 2 NIC's - one to internet and one to the local
network with different addresses

What I would like to achieve: https://office.internet.eu/remote/ gives me
access to my server from every place in the world.
I have an official registered domain interspeed.eu and office.interspeed.eu
as a subdomain. At my ISP's DNS configuration an A record is pointing to the
WAN IP address of my home/office internet. With that address I can make a
remote desktop connection to my server.

Thanks a lot for help

Jan

This newsgroup is for a very old version of SBS
but the two things to check, make sure ports 443 and 4125 are forwarded from the router to your NIC IP and that the Windows Firewall on the Server allows these ports
