I have a fairly fresh install of SBS 2008. Everything seems to be
working fine. The issue I am having is with RWW. When I login to it I
am not able to connect to any computers. There is no list. If I add my
user account to the domain admins group then I get a list of computers
but, when I try and connect I get an error message "An internal error
has occurred (error 50331676). For more information, please contact
you network administrator or Microsoft Product Support." I have tried
googling that but, got nothing.
Anybody have any ideas??
thanks,
aaron.
Please consider posting SBS 2008 questions in
microsoft.connect.windows.server.sbs08
You will need to access this via the Microsoft website and then if
required, access via NNTP.
Thanks

So how do we fix it?
I found a hot fix (KB954034) which may have something to do with the issue,
but I seem to be having trouble getting it installed.
Cheers,
Chad
I did manage to resolve this.
I removed the Network Policy and Access Services Role, and the Terminal
Services role. They then needed to be reinstalled and some manual
configuration was required. Here's what I posted on the SBS 2008 newsgroup:
I uninstalled Network Policy Server, RRAS, and TS Gateway Roles.
After a couple of reboots I attempted to add them again.
The installation failed, which appeared to be down to Network Policy Server
having a port conflict.
After each attempt, the server needed to be rebooted again :(
Running netstat -ano showed that w3wp.exe was using port 1812 or 1813 (I
forget which)
So I stopped the IIS Admin service and World Wide Web PUblishing service and
installed again.
Success this time!
After they were installed, I ran fix my network and it only found error 3
which is to do with the rpc web application. I fixed that and ran it again,
and it still found that one to be a problem(?!?!) It didn't pick up on the
fact that no TS Gateway policies were present.
I manually set up the TS Gateway policies and certificate as per
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc626198.aspx
For some reason, this then broke the certificate (Not a public one, btw)
Running Fix my network picked up on the broken certificate and fixed this.
I can now VPN in and TS Gateway too (RWW connect to computer works :) ).
Hurrah!!!
I ran Fix my network again which picked up error 4 (a problem with the TS
Gateway certificate?!?). I ran the fix, and it didn't seem to break anything
else.
I ran it one last time for luck, and finally it only picked up on the fact
that it couldn't configure my router (is there a way of turning this warning
off? I'm fed up of seeing it!!)
