Hi,

Maybe this is the wrong group, but I don't know a better one. You can help
with the following issue:

I am running IIS6 on a SBS2K3 box. Hosting a certain amount of websites all
is going well, except, when I am trying to install the FrontPage 2002
extensions on a virtual web.

Rightclicking the web and install the FPSE I got the following error
(translated from Dutch into English, so sorry for an eventually poor
translation):

The servercontrolprograms and the serverextentions on the webserver are not
compatable. The controlprogram is too old to use on this server.

All the CD's are from the same installationpack, so I do not understand.
What is happening and where can I find a solution ?

Any help is appreciated,

regards, Ger.

Are you hosting your own websites or for others?

Hosting your own publically accessible website on port 80 on your SBS is a huge security risk
Licensing for SBS does not permit you to host websites for your customers.

Hi Chris, thx for reply,

I am hosting on other ports than 80.

What licence do I need to host for customers ?

regards, Ger.

You'd need to buy Windows Server - Web Server Edition and appropriate CALs
