I have a client who I installed SBS2003 for in December 2007. They have had
no issues since and in December 2008 changes ISP. The new router arrived - I
plugged it straight in and the internet went live with the new ISP.
They have just changed ISP again to BT. I told them they should be able to
simply swap the new router for the existing, reboot the server and have
internet. How wrong I was.
They have called today to say that they have no internet and that the tech
support from BT is saying they will need to reconfigure the SBS2003 server to
accept the new IP address - I am confused as to why. The router is plugged
into a switch and hasn't moved location from the previous 2. There has been
no change for the private IP range. Any ideas?
