.html file deployment on WAS6.1

I want to deploy one html file on WAS6.1. I want to know what would I require
for this? A .ear file or .war file?

For .war file, is below command enough?

Jar –xvf <filename>.war <html file>

My WAS is on unix machine.

Along with html, would I need to create any other files?
