I was wondering if there was anyway to add metadata to a Folder in the
document library as well as the documents. I have a custom application that
creates the folders in a document library on the fly. The problem being,
when a user would go into the sharepoint document library, only the
idetification number is displayed. Is there a way to display the "folder
name" and have the identification number as metadata?

Thanks in Advance,

Lou

So Lou, correct me if I'm wrong, but basically what you're looking for
is something that will extract more information from your documents and
display it to your user?

If your application is a custom app, then you could modify it using C#
or VB.net such that it uses the SPS SDK and in turn writes additional
metadata into the document library when it's storing the document there.

Just a thought...
