I am having trouble. I have copied two columns and multiple rows from an excel spreadsheet. In Grid view of a SharePoimt 365 list I go down to the next free item at the bottom of the list, select the first column and paste. All the data goes into the first column. I tried selecting the whole row in the list but post is not available. I know I can do it in classic view (an advanced setting) but I do not want to keep switching settings.

Any ideas?
