Customize 404 error page in WSS site

Anybody an idea how to customize an 404 error page with a WSS Site?
by default you only get an "404 NOT FOUND" (try it on the WSS FAQ site
http://wss.collutions.com/xx)

you can always modify the site's settings in IIS to point to a different
default 404 error...as well as modifying the <customErrors> section in
web.config

Hi Tim,

I did modify the site settings in the IIS - nothing happend
I did modifiy th custom errors in the web.config file - nothing happend


I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but have you ever get it running
on your server ?

BTW: your RSS WebPart is great I will use it on my new site (which will come
up when I solved the 404 problem)

Yes IISRESET even a complete reboot of the server wouldn't help...
