Windows 7 and Client certificate

We had same problem when Windows Vista released against Sharepoint when
using client certificate and how Sharepoint handled "sandbox" with Office
Word when check in/out and save/close documents in Sahrepoint.
It was solved with a hotfix from early 2007 for the client and later sp2 in
Office 2007 and Sahrepoint 2007.
Now when we start using Windows 7 together with Sharepoint we have exactly
the same problem but can't find any hotfix or solution for the same problem !
Any clue about where to find a correct information about how to solve the
problem because it's very irritated when "customers" will have same problem
when released the new product for market when using products in same family.
It's an article at Microsoft telling it's solved in Sharepoint 2010 but this
product is not released so will not help me for the moment.
Hopes someone have a greate success story about this problem
