Hi,

I'm having some trouble extending a virtual server.
I'm running STS on Win2K Pro with IIS 5 en SQL Server 2000
The problem is that when trying to extend the virtual server I get the folowing
error :
Login failed for user 'sa'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server
connection. (Error code: 18452).

I've tried using Integrated Security but I get the same results even though the
created logins can establish trusted connections trough Acces 2002. Can somebody
tell me what the correct settings for IIS / SQL server are ? I think I'm
overlooking something but it's driving me nuts !

This is from the Readme that accompanied the software:
SQL 2000 must use SQL Authentication

If you install SharePoint Team Services on a Web server that is running SQL
2000, you must configure SQL 2000 to use SQL Authentication. If SQL 2000 is
using Windows NT Authentication, you will see the following error message
when extending Web sites with SharePoint Team Services: "Login failed for
user <username>. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server
connection. (Error code: 18452)"

Hope it helps

Ok, that works.
Yet again a case of look before you leap. I'll read the manual next time ;)

Hope it helps
