Dear all friends:
Our SPS have upgrade to Sp1 version...

But it still have the problem.

Our SharePoint server was installed with a name like
sps001. When email subscriptions are sent out, they
have a link to documents within them of the form:
http://sps001/workspace/documents/etc/file.doc

This works fine for our head office, but our European
offices on the Intranet must use the fully qualified
name>> to any of our http servers. e.g

http://sps001.london.company.com/workspace/documents/etc/fi le.doc

Before I start getting network services involved, is
there any way from the SharePoint side to change it to use the
full server address?

Please help us...Thank you!
Regards,
Ken Sung

To change the Server's subscription emails used, download the
ExchangeSDKTools.exe file from MS, and using the Web Storage System Explorer
you can modify this setting. Mind you this will affect the emails sent from
ANY workspace.

most of this is explained in the KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q296602

Once you have the utility you can follow the instructions in the Extranet
Whitepaper from MS at
http://www.microsoft.com/Sharepoint/techinfo/deployment/Extranet.asp

Hope that helps,
Tim
