We have an issue when we are saving dates in to resource availability, which
is probably due to a localisation issue but we can't pin point where the
actual issue is stemming from. We are located in Australia and the date
format is DD/MM/YYYY but when putting this in to project server in one
particular date field it is being reversed, regardless of what format it's
entered in. Steps to reproduce below. Any help appreciated.
1. In Project Server, I go to the resources view, select the resource and
click on “Edit Details”
2. In the “Earliest Available” field, I use the dropdown calendar to select
4 January 2010 (see note below)
3. I save using the “Save” button
4. I select “View Availability” so I can see a graph showing when the
resource is available and any task allocations
5. This view indicates the resource is available from 1 April 2010
Note: Also tried typing the date in as “01/04/2010” and “04/01/2010” with
same result – both these interpreted as 1 April 2010

Subject: Sharepoint Portal Sever with Project Server Date Format Issue
Date: Fri, 11 Dec 2009 22:42:01 -0800
Hi,
We have an issue when we are saving dates in to resource availability,
which
is probably due to a localisation issue but we can't pin point where the
actual issue is stemming from. We are located in Australia and the date
format is DD/MM/YYYY but when putting this in to project server in one
particular date field it is being reversed, regardless of what format it's
entered in. Steps to reproduce below. Any help appreciated.
1. In Project Server, I go to the resources view, select the resource and
click on “Edit Details?
2. In the “Earliest Available?field, I use the dropdown calendar to
select
4 January 2010 (see note below)
3. I save using the “Save?button
4. I select “View Availability?so I can see a graph showing when the
resource is available and any task allocations
5. This view indicates the resource is available from 1 April 2010
Note: Also tried typing the date in as ?1/04/2010?and
?4/01/2010?with
same result ?both these interpreted as 1 April 2010

That group is locked and marked as read only.
Could you suggest an appropriate alternative?
Regards.
