Cannot Activate Office SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure

Hello,

We cannot activate the following site collection features:

Office SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure

When we try to we get the following error:

"Value does not fall within the expected range."

and these errors appear in the logs:

General 8grz High The feature
'f6924d36-2fa8-4f0b-b16d-06b7250180fa' depends on feature
'aebc918d-b20f-4a11-a1db-9ed84d79c87e' which failed to activate:

Hi Armen,

A few questions:
1. Are you using service accounts for the application pools or an
administrator account?
2. Have you tried the following command: stsadm -o activatefeature -name
PublishingResources -url http://website (after this manually activate the
feature)
3. Is your application pool account a member of the wss_admin_group (local
group on your SharePoint server)?

Not sure why I never got the email notification that someone replied but....

Yes we are using a domain account that is set as an administrator on the
server and is part of the wss_admin_wpg group.

I think we tried the activatefeature command but recieved the same error.

Did you ever find a solution to this. I have the same issue on one of my
site collections. 3 other site collections activated without any issues.

Is this site created using the variation feature ?

Can you try activatefeature command with -force parameter ?
