Is there a particular security setting or patch I can
deploy to help prevent the infection of the funlove virus?
I'm currently running McAfee's NetShield on one of our
servers (and desktops use virus scan), however, the server
continously gets hit with this virus. I'm wondering what
others are doing to help prevent the spread of this virus.
Also, can an IDS or firewall system (ISA server?) help
prevent the infection of this virus?

Thanks,
- Dave

Are you using Exchange server? If so, you need Exchange-aware antivirus -
Trend ScanMail and Sybari Antigen are the hands-down winners there.

We did some work quite some time ago in our logon script to 1) delete the
file <systemroot>\system\Flcss.exe if it existed. Then we create a directory
with the name flcss.exe - this prevents the file flcss.exe from getting onto
the PC in question and getting infected again.

NetShield and VirusScan do a good job against FunLove, but as long as
there's one PC on your network that is infected, others will be getting hit
with infection attempts.
