Hello;

Have you tried Start|Settings|Control Panel|Internet
Options...then edit/enter in the box what you would like
your homepage to be.

Go to Start/run, and type Regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel
Is the subkey called 'Control Panel' indeed there, rightclick it, and choose
delete from the
context menu.
Close Regedit

Also check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
for a possible "Control
Panel" subkey, and delete that one as well if it exists.

That will reenable you to change your home page settings.

NOTE: Before editing the Registry, ALWAYS back it up, export the key you're
going to edit, or
alternatively, in the case of Win ME or XP, create a Restore Point.

Next, do the following:

Download Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/
It detects and removes all kinds of spyware, dialers, hijackers, and
related nasties.

After installing, press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and
install all updates.

Now close all browser windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot
remove all it finds.
When you've done all that, test your system, and see whether your problem is
gone.

If it isn't, go to http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ , and download Hijack
This.

Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save
Log" button.
Press that, and save the log somewhere

Next, go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the Spyware and Hijackware Removal section, press "new
topic", explain your
problem, and copy and paste the contents of the Hijack This log into your
new message. You'll get
expert assistance in dealing with your problem, and I can assure you that
you'll be rid of it in no
time at all.
