Concerning those 'grey' message boxes that appear on
your screen 'before' visiting your E-mail or any web site.
I did a system restore, and the problem was solved - for
a day.

Now, I am constantly bothered by another
more 'legitimate' message purportedly by MSN Messenger,
stating that there is an MSN Messenger update for
me, 'whether' I would like to check it out, with the
options 'Yes' or 'No' to check 'WITH' the buttons O-KAY
or What's New? to press afterwards!
These grey message boxes have interrupted me 'twice'
already - as I type this post! They always state, "If you
want to stop these pop-ups, visit 'bybyebeads.com' - or
some other site!

Thanks,

This is like an organized crime protection racket. Turning off Messenger
Service will stop the pop-ups but will ignore the problem.
Get a firewall as these pop-ups indicate your PC is wide open to the
Internet. I like Kerio.
