Sign into your Hotmail account and click 'Help' in the upper right hand
corner and submit your issue through the webform. There is no guarantee
that the hacker can be traced, but they will be able to provide suggestions
to help keep you account secure.

Why are you so quick to assume someone guessed this
password? I hear about these Hotmail accounts
being "hacked" all the time and it seems a little bit too
coincidental that ALL of these people's passwords were
hacked into.

Who knows? It could be done with the help of keyloggers or
with those spoof emails and/or sites asking users to
submit their passwords for "verification."

I would like to know why I always here over and over about
Hotmail email accounts being "hacked" into and never hear
much about Yahoo! or AOL email accounts being hacked. Are
this really about all these passwords being guessed by
random people?

maybe because hotmail is microsoft so people think they can come here and
get it fixed? or maybe hotmail has a lame help setup? or maybe both??

I don't know if this is as a result of my password being hacked but many ppl
have complained of receiving emails from me that looked suspicious and which
I did not send. Mails from my inbox to another server were also tracked by
that system as containing viruses in outgoing mails. I loaded on Norton
Internet Security and it still keeps happening. Suggestions anyone?

Almost any password can be hacked. Hackers have programs that run the
dictionary, backwards words, even "mis-spelled" words like (@$$!E (Cassie).
They can do your birthday, your kids names your wedding date...etc b/c it is
all in public records somewhere.
The best way is to make up a phrase personal to you and use the first letter
of each word. ie. "My dog is Spot and my cat is Kitty.", would make the
password: mdi$&m(ik ~ HINT: (using $ for s and ( for c makes it even
better...).
You should also not use the password for more than one account, but I know
that is hard, especially when you have a good password!! At the very least,
don't use for related accounts like ebay and paypal.
Make a few good ones and move them around monthly or so, especially on
financial/sensitive sites.
You should always notify the server if you suspect any questionable activity
on your account and change your password ASAP to protect yourself.
