Possible Virus

I believe I might have a virus? Here is what is happening
when I turn on my computer it starts to boot up, but it
get an error screen that says my computer didn't shut
down properly and then it asks me what I want to do. It
is Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Last Known Good
Configuration or Start Windows Normally. No matter what I
option I chose it starts the boot up process again and
goes right back to the same screen.

What other sympthoms did it show before the boot-up process started?
Was it slow, lagging, freezzing?
Was it giving any sympthoms at all?
These are the symptoms, of a power supply failure.. make sure that is not
the case.

Operating system?
How do you shut down?
If you use the power button to shut down instead of using the start/shutdown
protocol this can occur.

In any event, it is not likely to be a virus, and you will be well off
asking your question in a general discussion group for your operating
system.

The case?

The power supply maybe, but I really doubt it's the case.
