Uninstalling AVG 8 Free

During the course of the subject matter, I get a message that states "opening
of the setup data file "c" failed..Oxe 001042c "..
I have no clue what this means nor how to fix it..So basically,I can neither
remove nor add a virus protection program..
Has anyone out there ever encountered this and if so, what do you do to fix
it ?

What "Registry cleaner" have you used since you installed AVG Free v8.0?

Revo Uninstaller
http://www.revouninstaller.com/

If not re-install AVG and then remove using one of the above links.
