WMP11 security upgrade needed AND can't find!

trying to download public domain books but WMP11 keeps asking: Windows Media
Player cannot play the protected file because a security upgrade is required.
Do you want to download the security upgrade? Where do I find upgrade OR is
there a switch that needs to be thrown?

Underneath "Do you want to download the security upgrade?" is there
something that says 'Yes' or 'Okay' or something like that?

Windows version? Is Automatic Updates enabled? Does Windows Update offer
