To All:
For MsgBox, the default buttons are either OK, YES, NO, CANCEL, RETRY, etc.
My question is: Can the button(s) be customized to something like: FIRST
CASE, SECOND CHOICE or anything else? Then get a return value based on
which customized button is click.
Many thanks.

I don't think we can customize those buttons MsgBox function has. If you
are using script in web page, we can write sample web page to simulate the
MsgBox and then use showModalDialog and etc to show it which maybe useful
for you.

Hope this helps,

Robin

Robin:
Thanks for your reply.
I am not using this script in web page. Is there a way to create
customized buttons?
Thanks for any idea.

hi PU,

Are you courageous enough (or fool-hardy enough) to use a third-party
control?

If so, then Marco Bellinaso's MsgBoxEx control will do what you want, and
more. The control itself may be downloaded from the vb-2-the-Max website.

http://www.vb2themax.com/FileBank.asp?PageID=FileBank

And an explanation on how to use it from script may be found on this page:

http://home.att.net/~wshvbs/index.htm

then click on "Looking for A Better Message Box?"

cheers, jw

The first link posted led to a porn site. I didn't give the 2nd one time to load to find out.

You can't customize buttons on MsgBox. You have
to use your own window or a browserwindow hack.
See here for one option:

http://www.jsware.net/jsware/scrfiles.php5#msgb

While you're ar it, you might consider getting a real
newsreader and getting out of Google Groups. Do you
know what Usenet is? If not, please look it up to
save yourself and others trouble in the future. I don't
know what post you're responding to but I'm guessing
it's probably several years old.

That post is 12 years old. The domain has been squatted. The second link merely
fails to load anything.
