For some reason I cannot execute the MS DOS command line screnc.
I have checked my Windows Folder for screnc.exe and cannot find it.
I am running IE Version 6.0 on Windows 98 SE.

What could be the reason?

Thank you,

Eli

The executable is not in the windows folder. Try this:
C:\Program Files\Windows Script Encoder\screnc.exe

Dear John Avitt,

I have tried this like you worte:
C:\Program Files\Windows Script Encoder\screnc.exe, however it's not in
the Program Files either. I have tried to look for in in my computer and
I cannot find it. I don't understand why I don't have it if I have
Internet Explorer 6.0.

Thank you,

Eli

Okay, I can't help but be a little bit of a joker here. Can you run
C:\Program Files\Application That I Created\RaysApp.exe? No. Why? Because
you don't have it. Sorry...

Here's where you can download the script encoder.

My Friend,

That is exactly the idea. I don't have it you finally got it.. My
question is way I don't have it?

Do you have this program?

As I understand it should be part of IE starting from Version 5.0
according to the information I got from Microsoft.

So what is the answer?

Thank you,

Eli Zino

Where did you read that this is part of IE? Are you sure you aren't
thinking of the Windows Script HOST?

I read about it at this location:

P.S. What location is your email address?

I interpret that article to mean that the user needs to have IE5 on his
machine in order for the browser to be able to decode an encoded script.
Note the last sentence in one of the paragraphs:

"In the meantime, you can get more info and the script encoder from the
Microsoft Scripting site."

My e-mail address is ray at lane34 dotttttt com

Dear Ray,

I have also interpret that article to mean that the user needs to have
IE5 on his machine, I also read all the articles about the encoder. But
what can I do with all this information without the screnc.exe file. Now
where and how do I get it? I am still left with this question.

Thank you,
