800A175D Cannot Open Macro Storage Error

Hi,

Have some existing VBscripts that opened Word 97 documents
just fine.

Subsequent to recently installing the MS Critical Updates and the IE5.5
upgrade, I now, for those same existing scripts, get an error on the
Word.Documents.Open ("somefile.doc") of:

"Could not open macro storage" - code 800A175D.

Is this a known problem associated with doing the above
updates?
