auto-save notepad

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to auto-save Notepad documents which are invoked
by my custom software. Notepad runs externally to my software, and is
only used as a text editor.

They can be saved every few minutes, to their location on the computer/
server's hard drive. Is there a script to incorporate this
functionality?
