JPG is an image format...hyperlinks are not supported.

Adding to John's advice, save the file as a pdf to save the hyperlinks.
This is assuming you are using Publisher 2007. If not, create the file in
Word, save to pdf using the add-on to save to pdf to preserve the
hyperlinks.

So there is no way to save your publisher doc into an image & preserve
the hyperlinnks? Even giff, bitmap etc
I have created a publisher doc but now want to use that image in a
web-based email - gmail.
Gmail only allows you to insert images - jpg, giff, bitt etc so I
thought I'd create a publisher doc with all the relavant info and then
insert into my gmail - clearly it can't be that simple!
Does anyone know any way around this? I have saved as a PDF and yes the
hyperlins are preserved but how to now get this into a jpg... or am I
just wasting my time? Please help!

Have you tried Tools, Options, Web tab, check "Send entire publication as a
single JPEG image."

Try using the program at the attached hyperlink. It claims it preserves hyperlinks in pdf's but have not tested it out myself.

I am in the same boat, I have a small organization, and the best way to get all employees involved is to email them an image of something rather than an attachment. I can convert to a PDF and preserve the link, but as soon as I convert to JPEG it disappears. OR I have to make the whole image a hyperlink and my employees are not smart enough to know that they have to activate the CTRL button to navigate. ::le sigh::
