I tried to install Publisher but during the installation I've got this error
:
" Error 25003 Microsoft Office setup cannot continue because the
installation source has been corrupted"

What is Wrong ?

You can get a program from the MS website called "msicu.exe" and there is a
second one required for Disk 2 of Office. Read the instructions with these
files, and understand how they work, but they will/should cure your ills.

hello,

i am trying to install publisher 2002, but it keeps asking
for an office 2000 disk.

Problem is, my office 2000 disk was lost in my last move,
and it won't let me install without it.

Any suggestions?

I really don't know how people loose stuff, especially CD's.
You will just have to borrow somebody else's to install Pub2002. You do not
need to install Pub2000, you just have to point 2002 to 2000 to let it know
its there.

Thanks for the reply.

Publisher 2000 was already installed. Should I go to it
through the browse window.

Thanks.

PS -- I don't know how movers lose things that are loaded
on the truck, but they do. Also lost a TV, two chairs and
an old football helmet :)

Hmmm yes, when it asks for the CD, point it at the installed Publisher 2000
and see if that works.

I cannot remember.

You may need to completely uninstall any Office
components, clean registry, then try Publisher install

This is a common problem seen across the entire Office line
as well as the Works line of products. This usually stems from
a problem with the new Windows Installer that has been
introduced with these products. There is a fix however.

The first thing we need to do is clean up your Windows Installer. To
do this, download the following files (you may need to copy/paste the
links below if they are wrapped improperly in Outlook Express):

If you are using Windows 95/98/WinME

http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000pro/util22/1/W9X/EN-US/msic
u.exe

If you are using Windows NT or Windows 2000

http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000pro/util20/1/NT4/EN-US/msic
uu.exe

When you download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, simply run it. By
default, the Setup program will install the Windows Installer CleanUp
Utility's files to the following folder on your hard disk:

C:\Program Files\Windows Installer CleanUp

After you run this utility, you will be prompted to select which programs
you prefer
to clean up with this Utility. You only need to choose Publisher (some other
programs
may require a reinstall after using this utility, but there will not be any
harm done).

Then, download the following files:

If you are running Publisher from the Office Suite (Publisher is on CD 2):

http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000prem/Utility/3.0/WIN98MeXP/
EN-US/Erasecd2.exe

If you are running Publisher Standalone (meaning you bought Publisher
without the Office Suite)

http://download.microsoft.com/download/office2000/Utility/3.0/WIN98MeXP/EN-U
S/Eraser2k.exe

(You should only run this utility after you run the Setup program for Office
2000
and click Remove Office CD2/Publisher)

After you have run this utility and cleaned out the Publisher contents from
your computer,
restart your computer and install Publisher 2002. I would recommend doing a
Complete install
of Publisher (you can go to custom setup and be sure to select "Run All From
My Computer"

I hope this helps! Be sure to print this out for your reference. Post back
if you have
any further questions.
