got filtering enabled.
now i'm getting a whole bunch of mail from proxy saying that there are
packets on ports udp 137/8 being dropped.
these are netbios broadcast ports are they not?
so how do i stop them from?

The proxy installation instructions tell you to disable the RPC ports on the
external interface... Then this won't happen.

in the bindings though, to date I have disabled the NetBIOS interface to the
wan wrapper.
The bindings that are left, are the RAS WINS Client (TCP), Server WINS
Client(TCP) and the Workstation WINS Client (TCP).
The way I understand it, if I disable the RAS TCP (astalavista connection),
if I disable Server WAN TCP, say goodbye to IP services that are required to
run over the wan link, and if I disable the Workstation WAN TCP, there goes
my access should I need to use the server locally, which I do at times to
run tcp diags such as nslookup etc.

Your help is appreciated. I'm downloading the faq at the below mentioned
site, and will have a look at that as well.
