Is it possible to give us a little more information, such as what version
of the proxy server you are using, what browser, and what settings you
filled in when you selected proxy in your web browser?

I use MS Proxy2.0,and I have a IIS4.0 installed in my server.I selected
"automaticlly configure web browser during client setup" and filled in my
server name and port number.I tried Netscape Navigator 4.05.I selected
"manual proxt configuration" and filled in server name and port number just
same as that in proxy server. But when I try to connect internet, there's no
response. It seemed the proxy server do not response my computer's request.
Should I enable www service in IIS4.0?They use the same port so I'm afraid
there's confilct between them.

Yes enable it. Proxy and IIS are tied together. You might want to think
about going back to IIS3 because IIS4 with proxy and IE4 clients is going to
give you problems.

Make sure you didn't put an entry for the socks service in Netscape.
Make sure you configure it using the IP address and not the proxy server
name.
If you are going to stick with IIS4.0 download the w3proxy.dll (somebody
posted it a couple days ago so MS might not have deleted it yet)
