I'm currently doing a stage for school in a company which want secure
internet access. We will have a 128Kb line coming in, so I thought I'd make
a demilitarized zone, into a proxy server, into our lan.
--------- | NT PROXY | ---------
internet company lan
(I'm not too good at ascii drawings :)).
Now my problem is that our company's lan uses the 10.x.x x Class A
addresses, which are reserved for private networks, and thus are not valid
on the Internet. Will the Proxy server do the translating, so that users on
the lan would be able to WWW, FTP, ICQ, SMTP? If not, what do I need?
Any help greatly appreciated! I also have a few other questions relating to
DNS in this setup, but it'll wait for now... Thanks!
