I am establishing a trust across a 384k line to a NTS4 with SP3 and the same
configuration, two NICs, one private (192.168.71.x) and one real
(208.168.51.x).
Here is the problem. If I load up Network Monitor to examine the traffic.
The External NIC on SERVER1 sends out packets to establish the trust with
SERVER2 and the external NIC on SERVER2 replies. All's well. A few frames
into the dialog and the internal adapter on SERVER2 starts to send packets
to the external adapter on SERVER1. This presents the problem because there
is not route to get back to the Internal adapter.
So if each machine has the Proxy Client installed (MSPCLNT) why would the
internal adapter be sending packets at all? Shouldn't all traffic becoming
from the external adapter only? Any thoughts would be great, I will toss
this up on the newgroups for mass consumption as well.

I saw the technet articles about too many gateways ruining the soup.
The internal adapter has no gateway and all the internal addresses are
within the same subnet.
Thanks

Thanks I will try that out.
