I'm having a weird problem with the Proxy server right now... when the
Internet Explorer Browsers hook up to the net using the Proxy everything
is normal. But when I tell the browser not to use the proxy in the
connections section, it still accesses the web. If I shut down the
Winsock proxy services then the browser will not work, which is correct.
I am using two NIC cards in the setup. One is on the internal side and
the other is on the external side. I do not have routing on. So, when
I am not connected to the proxy, my web browsers should not work. Yet
they do. I have even removed all protocols from the winsock proxy and I
can still access the web, ICQ and MSN Instant messenger.

Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem.

Thanks

Yes I did to both... and they I undid... It's something wrong with my
Winsock proxy... for some ready it's piping it through... I've even
removed all the protocols from the Winsock proxy and everything still
pipes through. This did not happen until I loaded MS Proxy SP1. Thank
You
