Hi

I have a number of win98 laptops with the proxys server 2.0 client software
installed on the network, is there a way of disabling the client software
without removing it so these users can do dialups to the net from home

Thanks for you help

I know only one way. If user want to use modem connection to the internet

must disable option in WSP Client (Control Panel) and restart computer.

True, you must disable the Proxy Client in Control Panel. However, you DO
NOT have to reboot.

It works fine anyway...

If you do not have WSP Client in CP you must use Web Proxy, so you must
change IE configuration in section Connections.

If I understood the question: When using IE 5.x it's possible to have
different settings for each remote access connection (e.g. you can disable
proxy server in IE settings when calling your "home" ISP and enable when
calling your office). For "non-IE" use you'll have to disable the WSP client
anyway.
