This is probably an easy question, so forgive my ignorance of Proxy Server.
We currently have the ability to control (allow/deny) Internet use (www
mainly) by IP address. We would like to control this access based on
Windows NT usernames. Can this be accomplished by using MS Proxy 2.0 and
configuring our web browsers to use this proxy server? Also, what type of
logging does Proxy do? Does it log the username and site/IP address
visited?

Thanks,

It will do everything you seem to need it to. Verbose logging will have
username and destination.

Any discussion here relevant to the memory leak?

I was under the impression that under load, this "feature" would bring down your
server.

Do people support hundreds of authenticated users without problems?

Matt.

I stop the web services every month to reclaim the memory inetinfo eats up.
I haven't applied SP4 to that server yet, so it might fix the problem? In
my experience, scheduling a time a night when the services stop to reclaim
memory works pretty well.
