I have found that, when using a resource pool, if resources are allocated
and a project file is deleted, the resources are still allocated in the
resource pool.
Is there a way to 'clean out' the resource pool to remove such allocations?
I have been deleting tasks from project files before deleting them but others
have made the mistake of deleting the project file, leaving these "trace
allocations" in the resource pool.
Regards,
David
Open the resource pool file Read/Write and then click Tools - Resource
Sharing - Share Resources. In the Share Resources dialog, you will find a
list of projects that are sharing files with the resources in the resource
pool. Select the deleted projects and click the Break Link button. Click
the OK button to close the dialog and then save and close the resource pool
file. Hope this helps.
