I would like to display and print out calendars from Porject, but force it to
dispaly all tasks and not require using the overflow indicator

Hi Jim,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

The overflow is simply caused by the practical size of the paper you're printing on.  There is obviously a limit, but you can change some things.  For example, right click in the calendar area and select Layout... and "Attempt to fit as many tasks as possible".  In monthly view, you can widen the rows by moving your cursor over the dividing line until it turns into an up/down arrow, click and drag down.  Finally, changing the font size and the bar size will follow to fit more on the page.... but there it a limit.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thanks for the creative solution - very helpful! I wish I could vote this up, past the first response.

Can't do it (and that simply blows me away). The way I do it is to view all tasks (using the calendar formating) then use the snipping tool to save the screenshot, then print it...what a pain in the bu..!!

This worked for me:

1) In the Gantt Chart ensure that everything you want on the calendar is visible
2) Go to Views and select 'Calendar View'
3) Click "Calendar Tools"
4) Select "Layout Now"

This should re-populate and re-arrange your calendar. Do a print preview with overflow tasks set to "summary" afterwards to ensure there is nothing left off of the calendar.

DS

Its so daft that still Microsoft havent solved this bug. There is plenty of room left on calendar print preview for my tasks to be printed. There are lines of empty space below the tasks yet it still leaves them out and prints an overflow sheet!
