Split tasks, how can you see them in other than a Gantt Chart?

Hi:
We reflect vacation in our projects by splitting work tasks and creating
dependencies to/from the vacation task.
One of the problems that we face is that any movement of a split task date
is somewhat difficult to see unless you page through the Gantt chart.
Is there a field or value that could be added to the task sheet view that
you can see which tasks are split and associated split dates?
