Hello All,

Project Server 2007 SP2 + Aug CU

I am trying to change the length of the column "task name" in the my tasks
view.

Although I can set the pixel width, it does not seem to change the width of
the column when I check my tasks

Is there a setting somewhere or something else I need to consider....

....or does this just not work?

Comments/Suggestions appreciated
Shane

From memory, this doesn't work. Not sure if it is because it is no longer an
activeX control.

Ben has it right. It does not work and it is because of a limitation in the
HTML functionality for setting column widths. The grid is not a simple HTML
table but rather a very complex DHTML grid.

You can Hack it and make the change in the .aspx code but any update will
likely over write that.

Shane:

You may be able to adapt this approach for your own needs:

Thanks Gary..

The hack works for the timesheet web part but not for the my tasks one oddly.

Do you know if a tweak is required in the code to make it work?

Cheers,

My Colleague, Tony Zink, developed the hack, so you might post a comment on
the blog asking him this question. He doesn't frequent the NGs.
