Hi Ta,

are you running SP2? There was an issue with that. See "When you install the
2007 Microsoft Office servers Service Pack 2, the product expiration date is
activated incorrectly" (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971620/en-us).

If you have already deployed the service pack and are experiencing the
symptoms described there, you will find the description how to resolve on
that page.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

I am sorry, I have no idea how to resolve that. Since I was aware of that
issue we entered the license key before it was expired and had been sucessful
by that time. For some installations we even waited until the mentioned KB
was available to resolve immediately.

Hopefully someone else can support you with your situation?

Good luck!

Try re-applying the license key for SharePoint Server and see if that helps.

I too have that very issue. I installed my project 2007 server several
months ago and management didn't decide to start using it until now so I
hadn't noted the trial period expired message until yesterday. My "enter
product key" box is also grayed out so I'm at a loss as to what i'm supposed
to do other than full uninstall and reinstall. any ideas?

Thanks,

Jason

In order to use the trial version, in this case, you will need to reinstall
the OS as well as the software.
