We have project Server 2007 and our daily backup is returning an error that:

MSDB is out of disk space

How do we had more disk space to it?

Please advise. Thanks!

Hello it sounds like you need to ramp up on MS SQL Server.
Best is to talk to DBA for assistance (I'm sure you have SQL maintenance
plans in place as well).

So our IT needs to add space to SQL server MSDB Database? Or the backup server?

potentially or both or shrink the log file etc...
It sounds like they need to monitor the SQL disk space and implement best
practices documented on TechNet

Anum:

The log files for the Project Server databases grow very large quite
quickly, so you must have SQL Server maintenance plan in place for backing
up your databases and log files, and truncating the log files, or you must
have third-party backup software in place that handles this for you. In
addition, you should have a one or more SQL Maintenance plans in place to
periodically update statistics and perform other database maintenance chores
as per your internal best practices and TechNet recommended best practices.
