Hi, I opened the Enterprise Global edited the code
Enterprise Resource Outline Code2 and renamed it Skill. I
then defined a Code Mask and add all my different
skills/generic resources in the Edit Lookup Table. I also
checked the box that says, "Use this code for matching
generic resources".

The problem I have is when I'm in a project and I want to
replace some of my generic resources I open Assign
Resource dialog box and I click on Add Resources button.
The Build Team screen opens and I have my generic
resources on the right. I highlight the generic resource
and click "Match" and it doesn't find anybody. I've
assigned all my resources to the generic resource through
Web Access => Resources. I highlighted the resource and
clicked on Edit Resource Details. I thought I did this
right. What am I missing?

I'm lost :)

I forgot to mention, I also checked out the resource and
associate the resource to the skill/generic code that I
created.

Chris,

You need to assign the skill to the generic resource and the actual person
in the same "Skill" field you created, in the Enterprise Resource Pool.

Thanks,

I only assigned the resource to the generic resource. I
didn't assign the generic resource to itself. It works
now!!!

Thanks
