In the future, please post your Microsoft Project 2007 desktop app questions
in the microsoft.public.project newsgroup, and your Project Server 2007
questions in the microsoft.public.project.server newsgroup, as this
newsgroup is shutting down soon. To answer your question, please do the
following:
1. Launch Microsoft Project 2007 and open an existing project.
2. Click File - Save.
3. In the lower left corner of the dialog, click the Tools pick list and
select the General Options item from the list.
4. In the Save Options dialog, deselect the "Always create backup" option.
5. Click the OK button.
6. Click Save button to save the project again, and click the OK button
when prompted.
Hope this helps.
