Producer says I don't have the Codec for a video format

I am working to install the new Producer since the Beta stopped
working. But after installing Producer 3.0 (new version) I can't
import videos or open old presentations that had a video in them. It
says I don't have the codec for the format. I installed Windows Media
Codecs and updated it. Reinstalled Producer and still does not work
on this computer. It works on another I tried, but there is no
difference in build that I know of. Do I need to do something to get
it to see a format it supposedly accepts? Format I have tried
are .avi, .mpg, .wmv.
